HOW DOES DIALECT AFFECT THE LANGUAGE?

Аннотация

More than 7,000 dialects are spoken around the world, but little is written in the literature about how speaking a dialect affects the way children learn to read and write. The article raises the question of whether children who speak the mother tongue have difficulties in reading and spelling because their spoken language does not correspond to the spelling of the written language.
