Аннотация

This article is dedicated to the that the term ‘postmodernism’ is designated in order to characterize the modern literary and general cultural situation, a complex of epistemological, philosophical, scientific-theoretical and emotionally aesthetic ideas. Today, this term is not considered not only as a universal category of culture of the twentieth century, but also as a means of expressing the ‘spirit of the times’ in all aspects of human activity: sociology, philosophy, economics, politics and art. Postmodernism has its own way of thinking, completely chaotic, unstructured, fragmented, unlike modernism with its holistic and clear system. There is now no way for art to express the absolute truth, postmodernism forbids it. The idea of the world as chaos, meaningless and unknowable, generated by the crisis earlier existing values – all this is characteristic of postmodernism. This explains an unusual form of perception of the world called postmodern sensitivity, which denies any existing systems of values and priorities.
