Аннотация

Reading is a means of acquiring language, communicating and exchanging information and ideas. Students use a variety of reading strategies to decode (translate symbols into sounds) and comprehend. This article discusses the importance of teaching meaningful reading and reading strategies. The techniques used at various stages of working with text are also described.
