ENHANCING ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING THROUGH CONVERSION
Аннотация
This research investigates the application of word conversion in English Language Teaching (ELT). Conversion, the process by which words shift between grammatical categories without morphological change, offers significant pedagogical benefits. By incorporating conversion into teaching practices, educators can enhance learners' grammatical understanding, vocabulary development, and overall language proficiency. This study explores various types of conversion—noun to verb, verb to noun, adjective to noun, noun to adjective, and adjective to verb—providing expanded examples and practical teaching strategies. The findings highlight the effectiveness of using conversion to foster linguistic creativity and deepen learners' comprehension of English.
