Abstract

The use of authentic resources in English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction has grown in popularity because they give students access to real-world language examples and cultural context. The integration of real resources into the ESL curriculum in university settings has been shown to improve students' language fluency and engagement. This study looks at the advantages of using genuine materials in ESL classes, talks about how to use them well, and provides real-world examples of how universities may use these resources to provide their students with a more immersive and interesting learning environment. By doing so, initially, students will take a Needs Assessment to identify their expectations in learning English-related disciplines. Teachers may promote a better awareness and respect for the English language and culture in their students while also assisting them in developing the language skills necessary to thrive in academic and professional contexts by using genuine resources.
