Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of inductive and deductive approaches in learning grammar among Uzbek EFL learners. A total of 50 Uzbek EFL students were selected as a sample group for this study. A questionnaire was used to collect data to gain insights from the participants regarding their experiences with inductive and deductive grammar learning approaches. The results showed that most of the participants found the inductive approach to be more effective in learning grammar as compared to the deductive approach
