Ushbu maqolada til va madaniyatning uzviy bog'liqligi, lingvokulturologiya tushunchasi haqida so'z yuritilib, ingliz xalqining madaniyati, kundalik turmush tarzi va xalqning o'ziga xoslik xususiyatlarining tilda o'z ifodasini topishi, lingvokulturologik hodisalarning tilda namoyon bo'lishi turli misollar orqali ifoda etilgan. Shuningdek, ingliz xalqiga xos bo'lgan frazeologik birliklarning kelib chiqishida xalq madaniyatining ta'siri yoritib berilgan.
