Abstract

Pedagogical competence stands as the cornerstone of effective teaching, particularly within the domain of English language instruction. This comprehensive article delves deeply into the essential features required for the development and enhancement of pedagogical competence among English language teachers. It discusses the profound significance of pedagogical competence, elucidates its various competence, and meticulously explores the methods, strategies, and practices that significantly contribute to its formation and continuous evolution. Additionally, the pivotal role  of continuous professional development (CPD) and reflective practice in augmenting pedagogical competence is thoroughly examined and analyzed.
